Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how OitoLink (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you explore city walks, share photos and stories, chat with other walkers, and manage your Footprints balance.
By using OitoLink, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
1. Who we are
OitoLink is a city-walk photo and story community. Core product experiences—feed browsing, posting routes, inbox chats, follows, blocks, saves, and local Footprints bookkeeping—are designed to work primarily on your device.
2. Information we process
Depending on how you use the App, we may process:
- Profile information you choose to provide, such as nickname, handle, bio, and avatar image.
- Content you create, including photos, field notes, location labels, route length, vibe tags, camera gear notes, and optional voice notes attached to posts.
- Social activity, such as follows, saved routes, blocked users, reports, and chat messages you send.
- Local account state, including login status, whether you have agreed to legal terms, and one-time newbie Footprints grants.
- Purchase records related to in-app Footprints packs (handled through Apple’s / Google’s billing systems; we do not receive or store your full payment card details).
- Device permissions outputs only when you grant access: camera captures, photo library selections, and microphone recordings for voice notes.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Operate and display your profile, posts, inbox, and archive.
- Enable social features (follow, chat, save, block, report).
- Deduct and credit Footprints for publishing and purchases.
- Remember your preferences and permission-guidance state on device.
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Device permissions
OitoLink may request the following permissions only when a feature needs them:
- Camera — to capture street photos for posts or your avatar.
- Photo Library — to select existing images for posts or your avatar.
- Microphone — to record optional voice notes on a route entry.
You can deny or revoke these permissions in system Settings. If denied, the related feature will not work until access is enabled again.
5. Storage and retention
Much of your content and account bookkeeping is stored locally on your device (for example, posts, chats, balance history, and media files in the App sandbox). Local data remains on the device until you delete the related content, clear app data, or delete your account within the App.
If you delete your account from Profile settings, user-generated local records (profile, posts, chats, follows, blocks, reports, and coin ledger) are wiped from the App’s local database, subject to flags the App keeps only to prevent repeated one-time rewards.
6. In-app purchases
Footprints packs are consumable virtual items purchased through the platform store. Purchase confirmation and receipt validation are performed by Apple or Google. We use purchase results only to credit Footprints to your local balance.
7. Sharing and third parties
We may share limited information only when necessary:
- With platform providers (Apple / Google) to process purchases.
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- To protect the safety, rights, or integrity of users and the App.
Links opened from the App (such as this Policy or the User Agreement) may load in your system browser; those destinations are governed by their own notices when applicable.
8. Children’s privacy
OitoLink is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Your choices
- Edit or clear profile information and avatar in the App.
- Delete your own posts from My Posts / post detail.
- Block users or report abusive content using in-app tools.
- Revoke camera, photos, or microphone access in system Settings.
- Delete your account to wipe local user-generated data.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information stored by the App. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure; please keep your device locked and updated.
11. International users
If you use OitoLink from outside the region where our service is operated, you understand that information may be processed in accordance with the laws applicable to that operation, including local storage on your device.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of OitoLink after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
