Welcome to OitoLink. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the OitoLink mobile application and related services (the “App”). By tapping Start, creating content, or otherwise using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use OitoLink.
1. The service
OitoLink is a city-walk photo and story community. You can browse routes, publish entries with photos and optional voice notes, follow other walkers, chat, save routes to your archive, and manage a virtual balance called Footprints.
Features may change over time. We may add, modify, or discontinue parts of the App without prior notice, where permitted by law.
2. Eligibility & account
- You must be old enough to use the App under the laws of your region.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your local account session.
- Login and session state are managed on your device. Keep your device secure.
- You may delete your account from Profile settings. Deletion wipes local user-generated data as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Footprints (virtual currency)
- Footprints are a virtual balance used inside OitoLink (for example, publishing a route costs 55 Footprints).
- New users may receive a one-time newbie Footprints grant. This grant is limited and may not be claimed repeatedly after account deletion and re-use of the same device flags.
- Additional Footprints may be purchased as consumable in-app packs through Apple App Store / Google Play billing.
- Footprints have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for real-world money except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
- Purchases are final subject to the store’s refund rules. We are not responsible for store billing disputes beyond crediting Footprints after a successful purchase confirmation.
4. User content
You retain ownership of the photos, text, voice notes, and other materials you submit (“User Content”). By posting, you grant OitoLink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and reproduce that content as needed to operate the App features you use (including showing posts in feeds, detail pages, and archives on the device).
You represent that you have the rights needed to post your User Content.
5. Community guidelines
Keep OitoLink respectful, safe, and authentic. You agree not to:
- Post illegal, harmful, hateful, pornographic, or violently graphic content.
- Harass, abuse, impersonate, or threaten others.
- Spam, scam, cheat, or manipulate Footprints or social metrics.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt the App.
- Use the App for commercial solicitation without our prior written consent.
Users may report posts or people for reasons including abusive behavior, cheat behavior, pornographic content, bloody violence, or other violations. We may remove content, restrict features, or terminate access when we believe these Terms have been breached.
6. Social features
- Follow / unfollow other walkers.
- Chat with people you follow (no automated replies are guaranteed).
- Save routes to your archive.
- Block users to stop seeing their posts and conversations.
- Report content or users through the in-app report flow.
Social tools are provided as-is. You are responsible for the messages you send and the people you choose to engage with.
7. Permissions & device access
Certain features require device permissions (camera, photo library, microphone). Granting permission is optional, but refusing it may disable the related feature. Media you capture or select remains under your control subject to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The OitoLink name, logo, design system, and App software are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for your User Content, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the App unless allowed by mandatory law.
9. Third-party services
Purchases and some system services are provided by Apple, Google, or other platform vendors. Their terms and policies also apply. Legal pages linked from the App may open in your system browser.
10. Disclaimer
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. City-walk tips, locations, and user posts are not professional advice; explore safely and obey local laws.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OitoLink and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us for Footprints packs in the three months before the claim (or zero if you made no such purchases).
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse Footprints, or create risk for other users. You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account from Profile settings.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
